Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI)and was opened on 21 October 1950. It is based in Mysore. A research center branch is also located in Habsiguda, Hyderabad. CFTRI Mysore is one of the 40 national research laboratories set up under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) India. CFTRI is a large and diversified laboratory employing over 300 scientists, technologists, and engineers, and over 400 technicians, skilled workers, and support staff. There are sixteen research and development departments, including laboratories focusing on food biotechnology, microbiology, sensory science, and food safety.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the positions of Project Assistant [Level-II] on a temporary contractual basis in Instrument Development Programme IDP-Department Science and technology, Government of India, New Delhi funded Grant-in Aid Project entitled “Design and Development of machine for Continuous ragi mudde cooking and discharging of ragi mudde and ball making” (GAP-478) tenable at Design and Fabrication Unit, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore.

Qualifications : First class B.E. /B Tech (Mech./Chemical) with Knowledge of AutoCAD, Pro-E, CATIA and Solid Modelling & Uni-graphics. First class in M.Sc. in Food tech./Biotechnology/Biochemistry & Nutrition/Food Science and Nutrition with good academic record.
Age limit : Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on the last date of receipt of applications for the post.
